Do I need more Protein?

Protein

Alot has been said about how much protein a person needs to maintain or gain lean body mass. Over the years many people have said that 1 gram per lean body mass is sufficient. In recent years people have been taking in upwards of 3-3.5 grams per bodyweight.

Truthfully I think we are all built different and our needs vary. Personally i take in closer to 2.2 grams per bodyweight on training days and 1.5-2 grams on non training days.

If you are working hard in the gym and not seeing size gains, then try to do whats built more muscle over the past 100 years than anything... Eat more protein! Take in at least 1-1.5 grams per lean bodyweight per day for 6-8 weeks and see the difference.

Dont think thats all by way of Meat alone! I drink 4 shakes per day, 1 for breakfast with oats and apple, 1 (40-50grams of powder)20 minutes before workout with carbs and creatine, 1 (40-50 grams of powder) 10 minutes after im finshed lifting with Carbs and creatine and 1 or 2 (same amount) before bed.

I try and take in 50 grams of protein per meal at Least. I am 265 with 9% Bf so you do the math for you!Now go hit the weights!
